We get a look at what to expect – and not to expect – during the WWDC Keynote on June 6, as well as the possibility of Apple building a proprietary search engine, wireless charging on iPad and Apple TV vs. Google TV, all on the new Apple Insider Podcast.

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference keynote will take place at 10:00 a.m. PT on Monday, June 6. However, a recent trademark filing for “realityOS” means we might see a software announcement at WWDC even if Apple isn’t releasing hardware.

As for what Apple will reveal, we break down everything to expect, including of course iOS and iPadOS, which may feature updates to widgets and multitasking. We’re hoping for improvements to HomeKit, and listeners have great suggestions for new software features.

That said, tvOS definitely needs some fine-tuning, as navigating Apple TV can still be cumbersome. It seems more relevant right now, both as we head into WWDC and because a new Google TV app for iOS has launched.

We compare this to Apple’s offering and offer suggestions for streamlining the user interface. Finally, we address a recurring rumor about Apple’s work on a search engine, as well as the benefits that wireless iPad charging could bring.
